Makla the huge security guards at Walmart grabbed me up while I was still walking around the store because I put on a belt that I was going to pay for.

I didn’t even try and leave the store, and they grabbed me up and arrested me no questions asked.

BIZZIB3ATZ some LP is full of shit. I was arrested for wearing a belt that I was going to pay for in Walmart, I didn’t even leave the store, wasn’t even headed towards the exit, and they grabbed me up & threw me in jail, no questions asked. Then they had the nerve to say “here’s your food you ordered at McDonald’s” and put it on the desk they sat me at, while I was wearing handcuffs and couldn’t eat it.

@Chris H That sounds kind of fake. I've worked at walmart, LP can't "arrest" people, and they surely wouldn't hold someone for just a belt. They would of questioned you then  tell you to take it off then just escort you out of the store. Usually they watch you for awhile before they actually stop you. If you  had a shopping cart with stuff they would of asked you if you were buying the belt, but if you were just literally walking around with nothing and just had that belt on then of course you look suspicious.

Either this isn't true, or you were walking around for over an hour with just a belt, or you were stealing more than just a belt in which case you got what was coming. Hell the idea of putting a belt on before you paid for it it is just incredibly stupid and is downright suspicious. Usually if someone really needed to put a belt on i would ring them up and just cut the tags and let them put it on right in front of me.

Instills fear more than a 9 ml and with a hand gun there's always a small chance they might miss but if they don't you can still survive a gun wound If no vital organs or arteries are hit but a shotgun blast that close is gonna take u of your feet. Still probably the most accurate portrayal of a police/informant relationship ever in the history of film/television besides The Sopranos. But The Wire is even crazier since it explores the concept of people who become informants voluntarily to support a drug habit or some other issue. And even though the Sopranos has the more realistic take on informants with them being forced into snitching due to facing insane prison sentences, The Wire examines the lesser known type of informant who willingly does it to get money to support an addiction which is extremely common in real life, but hardly even shown in film or television.

@The Magic Theatre That really surprised me the first time I watched The Wire you even years ago. I had heard plenty about Omar and how he was a ruthless stickup man who only robbed other drug dealers, but never anything about how he strategically cooperated with police when it benefitted both of them. I mean its not really a stretch by any means considering he really only testified out of pure revenge and spite to take down people who wronged him or people he cared about, but god damn if I wasn't surprised to see him on the stand and testifying in court only a few episodes after his first appearance! He was about the last person I would have ever expected to see on the stand in court before I actually watched the show and started to understand the character...

But to be fair to Omar, he also expressed contrition (to Bunk while in jail) for having stolen from (and possibly hit with his shotgun) as many of his fellow detainees as he had and thus endangering his own life in jail - those detainees didn't need much further incentive that would come from the bounty Marlo was offering for a hit on Omar; I guess snitching too is "all in the game".

Bubbles wasn't ever a threat to Omar in any way, shape or form

If anything, his snitching helped the cops keep on their case (which everyone wanted shut down), which in turn helped Omar avoid the kind of police attention you get when you gun a man down in the middle of the street with a shotgun, or when you're shot and need medical assistance after being involved in a shootout outside a strip club

So on and so forth.
