/>Transcript - autogenerated English (newline characters replaced w/ "\")
"00:00\what's up guys is CG kids so in this\00:02\video I'm going to go over my experience\00:04\with ecstasy addiction from why I tried\00:07\it to what it felt like to the come\00:09\downs to why I quit to some of the\00:11\hallucinations that I've had from the\00:12\substance for those new to my channel\00:15\and we're recovering Pali addicts I have\00:16\almost 6 years of sobriety I share my\00:18\experiences both with addiction and\00:20\recovery to further educate the general\00:22\public and to give the addicts and her\00:24\loved ones hope that sobriety is\00:25\possible so this is a new topic a new\00:28\format for me so to speak and I plan to\00:30\keep doing this grenade I'm only going\00:33\to do this with substances that have\00:34\been severely addicted too there are\00:36\different levels of addiction there's\00:38\many compounds I've experimented with\00:40\and had problems with but these are the\00:42\ones that cause the most problems in the\00:43\first substance I'm gonna go over as\00:45\MDMA also known as ecstasy so before I\00:47\use ecstasy back in the old days I'm old\00:50\as hell by the way but back in the old\00:53\days when I was first introduced to like\00:55\substances of various drugs I always\00:57\kept it to the naturals\00:58\you know shrooms and and that kind of\01:01\thing and I kind of look down on people\01:03\who would use MDMA I just heard a lot of\01:07\the propaganda I heard a lot of the\01:09\craziness I imagined it couldn't be good\01:11\for you a lot of it was just you know me\01:14\making large-scale assumptions based on\01:18\information I was given which was very\01:20\little and I just thought who would do\01:22\that to their body for a long time but\01:25\my ex was interested in trying it and so\01:28\you know one day on her birthday she got\01:31\a pill and she gave it to me and we were\01:33\at a skating rink in Dallas Texas and\01:35\you know my mom and brother worked there\01:38\I know my brother was working there that\01:40\day and she had the pill and it was one\01:42\of those moments where it's like okay\01:44\it's there I might as well just do it\01:46\once and get it over with she wants to\01:48\try it for a birthday let's do this\01:49\thing and see what it is and it was just\01:51\like a white chalky pill there was no\01:53\design on it so that's pretty much what\01:56\caused me to use MDMA my first time and\01:59\when I took that pill with her we went\02:01\up in the car and we were gonna wait for\02:03\my brother to get off work and we were\02:05\gonna wait for the substance to kick in\02:07\as soon as MDMA kicked in we both got\02:09\extremely disconnected from reality it's\02:12\real\02:13\hard to describe what that was like but\02:14\it was almost like our brains were\02:16\literally we felt like our brains were\02:17\melting couldn't understand like regular\02:21\human language found it difficult to\02:23\speak it was just like this extreme\02:25\dissociation it just felt like there was\02:27\like almost like a brick in my brain\02:29\that's the best way to describe it like\02:31\my thoughts I couldn't think at all I\02:33\was just able to see with my eyes and\02:35\when I saw things I felt so disconnected\02:37\and like I really messed up doing this I\02:40\really messed up and I remember us\02:42\thinking like can we even wait for my\02:44\brother to get off work like what are we\02:46\gonna do we're freaking out for me that\02:49\lasted about 10 minutes it wasn't so\02:50\easy on my ex for her lasted longer\02:53\which I'll get into in a bit but for me\02:55\after about 10 minutes of that I felt\02:57\this um we later on called it the\03:00\waterfall me and my ex where it was just\03:02\this wave of extreme euphoria like this\03:05\discomfort this fear of death this whole\03:08\like I messed up this time this is way\03:11\too intense I can't handle this just I\03:14\didn't like it it all that was replaced\03:16\with the most euphoria ever felt and it\03:18\just came over me almost like a\03:20\waterfall and it was like instant so\03:22\when that happened I felt unbelievably\03:26\euphoric I mean it's the most euphoric I\03:28\ever felt in my life and I've done a lot\03:30\of substances you know a lot of the\03:31\really hard stuff and the euphoria from\03:35\the first time taking MDMA is not\03:36\something I could really compare it to I\03:38\remember my brother got in the car I\03:41\told him we took shrooms so he wouldn't\03:43\judge us I remember that and we were\03:46\driving down the highway and it was a\03:47\bright day outside and it was just so\03:49\bright it was so bright in the euphoria\03:52\it was gut-wrenching it was like that\03:55\exciting feeling you get when something\03:57\good happens like a manic episode times\04:00\a thousand but it also is very calm and\04:03\sedating and had that component to it so\04:05\it was beyond what I could really\04:08\describe it was like euphoria beyond\04:10\this world it almost felt like it turned\04:12\regular real life into the afterlife\04:14\like you know so to speak heaven and\04:18\that that of course you know got me into\04:20\doing it now my ex was still struggling\04:22\with that dissociation for quite some\04:24\time I would say at least a\04:26\our and I remember feeling this\04:29\dissociation and trying to get her out\04:31\of the car and her legs were like\04:32\wobbling and she could barely walk and I\04:35\was starting to be afraid for her but I\04:37\was like numb to emotion so my fear\04:39\wasn't really there and you know later\04:41\down the couch and then I remember\04:43\sitting down and it was so very new\04:46\feeling for me because it was like being\04:47\really wanting to do stuff but being\04:49\able to sit there and chill at the same\04:51\time when my eyes were like wiggling\04:53\back and forth and I remember laying\04:54\back and just letting my eyes wiggle\04:56\back and forth from this buzz in my\04:59\brain that was so strong and it was very\05:01\energizing and I it was just its own\05:05\thing you know I didn't really have like\05:06\the thought processes still I couldn't\05:08\sit down and do calculus for you but at\05:12\the same time I wanted to do stuff but I\05:15\could sit there and chill so it was like\05:17\I wanted to dance I wanted to go outside\05:18\I wanted to walk around and do like\05:21\things that enquire much thinking my ex\05:24\was laying there just totally freaking\05:26\out thinking you know some Bad's\05:27\happening implying that we need to call\05:29\for the hospital about an hour in she\05:33\told me the story and it might be a\05:35\different time but basically what\05:36\happened was she looked at like a Pepsi\05:38\bottle like a two-liter and she said I\05:41\love that Pepsi bottle in her head and\05:43\then she was like I really love that\05:45\Pepsi bottle and then it became like she\05:47\was infatuated with that Pepsi bottle\05:49\and that took her out of this\05:51\dissociated terrible state if she got\05:53\the waterfall effect - and then we were\05:55\both sitting there in bliss so yeah\05:59\that's that was the first time I tried\06:01\MDMA and what caused me to use it the\06:04\second time I tried it it was sometime\06:06\between I pretty much said okay I got\06:08\that out of my system it's out of the\06:09\way but there was this lingering thought\06:11\like I knew after experiencing that\06:13\something so euphoric I was much more\06:15\susceptible to trying it again if it was\06:17\available and it became available you\06:20\know it was hard for me to find dealers\06:21\she got the pill through a friend I\06:23\didn't know any dealers but one day a\06:25\dealer had MDMA and he had these pills\06:27\called blue pistols and they were blue\06:29\with a little pistol on them so I\06:32\decided to buy a couple from him with\06:33\some friends and we had a sleepover and\06:35\I took it and it was\06:37\almost the same exact thing it was that\06:39\gut-wrenching euphoria on the come-up\06:41\and then it was like this really clear\06:43\headspace that's the best way to\06:44\describe it really relaxed and seeing\06:47\everything like so clear it's almost\06:49\like it's in 4d and I love the\06:52\experience so yeah I remember texting my\06:54\ex and saying you got to try these blue\06:56\pistols and getting him for her and then\06:59\we started using ecstasy together and\07:01\that's when things started becoming more\07:02\of an addiction because we had a dealer\07:05\and we loved the effects of the\07:06\substance we started using ecstasy more\07:09\regularly and we weren't really The Rave\07:11\seemed type it was just me and my ex and\07:13\I think part of our rationalization just\07:16\a small part of it was like we were\07:18\gonna get married one day we were\07:19\together like five years at the time and\07:22\you know we were highschool sweethearts\07:24\we had no doubt that we were gonna be\07:26\together forever so we thought we'd make\07:28\these long lasting memories together so\07:31\when we did MDMA together is really just\07:33\a me and her thing and we would do like\07:35\the you know listening to the EDM music\07:39\of course smoking a bunch and you know\07:41\doing the raves doing nitrous that was\07:45\really kind of what we did I mean I did\07:47\go to a rave a couple times but it\07:49\wasn't really my scene and you know our\07:53\addiction progressed doing that like I\07:56\remember after I had a dealer and I was\07:58\Charles and continued using the\08:00\substance I did a lot more research and\08:02\there was a lot of propaganda saying\08:04\MDMA was horrible for you but then on\08:07\the reverse side it seemed like to\08:08\counteract that propaganda people\08:10\created their own pro drug propaganda so\08:13\there are things like you know use it\08:15\once a month you'll be fine and that was\08:17\like stated as a universal that it\08:19\doesn't cause any kind of brain damage\08:21\that's therapeutic and those things made\08:24\me believe in the substance especially\08:25\the therapeutic part you know I believed\08:27\that it was good for people and I\08:29\believed it was good for me and this\08:30\would just be a phase and I needed this\08:32\to grow then to develop personally which\08:35\isn't that sounds insane to probably the\08:37\average person but that was the\08:38\rationalization that went into using\08:41\MDMA regularly and it started off once a\08:44\month like I write I read rules and I\08:46\respect them and I try to follow them\08:48\and it did start off once a month and it\08:49\wasn't too extreme\08:50\but eventually you know I have enough of\08:54\these once a month really good times\08:55\best times in my life and I start to\08:58\justify once every two weeks it could be\09:00\like a friend saying hey we're going to\09:02\this Grateful Dead cover band concert do\09:05\you want to come up with us and then I\09:07\go up there and they're taking a and I'm\09:09\like well it hasn't been a month but\09:10\I'll make an exception this time it was\09:12\easy to slip into once every three weeks\09:15\once every two weeks and it got to a\09:17\point where it was once every week and\09:19\when it was at once every week I still\09:22\use the same as a crashing ization so\09:24\I'm like people on the internet say I'll\09:25\be fine you know the government lied and\09:28\it felt like I was rebelling against the\09:29\government the government don't want me\09:31\to know I have this so that's when\09:33\really kind of how it progressed and I\09:35\see that it was very easy to slip into\09:37\and it be very easy for a lot of people\09:39\to slip into more than once a month\09:40\usage I get that you know for some\09:42\people they can use MDMA once a month it\09:45\works for them they don't many problems\09:46\that's great for you not everybody's\09:48\like that but I see it being broadcasted\09:51\or in the comments is like a universal\09:53\statement like everybody has that much\09:55\self-control everybody has the same\09:57\brain makeup everybody has the same\09:59\history with their childhood and is like\10:02\healthy mentally no that's not the case\10:04\I wasn't really healthy mentally I was\10:06\prone to addiction to the substance and\10:08\yeah it just is what it is it's not\10:12\Universal but I believed it was so me\10:14\and my exes use obviously progressed\10:16\from that point you know once we were\10:18\using once a week we were taking more\10:20\and more pills and it got really extreme\10:24\back then we took pokeballs which some\10:26\of you guys back then old school ravers\10:29\because I'm old might know what I'm\10:30\talking about but they were like a\10:32\hundred milligrams of MDMA with a little\10:34\bit of ketamine and they were generally\10:35\always pure it was really hard to find\10:37\adulterated back then I'm sure there's\10:40\adulterated now so I was taking a ton of\10:43\those with her and when we abused\10:45\ecstasy we would get that really good\10:47\feeling and get that clear headspace and\10:49\it seemed like a big part of the high\10:51\for both of us and we both talked about\10:53\this was getting more so we would be\10:56\really high and then like the best thing\10:59\that would make us feel good is like\11:00\let's go get more and I swear we must\11:03\have annoyed our dealers\11:04\because that's how we preferred to do it\11:06\we would go and say buy six pills for\11:08\both of us pop three each and then two\11:11\hours later we'd call the dealer hey we\11:13\want more and sometimes we call them two\11:15\or three times and it's in a single\11:16\session and going out to get more and\11:19\coming back because we like the\11:21\adventure of it we like the excitement\11:22\of getting more and we were binge users\11:25\and we used once a week but we would use\11:27\throughout the whole night I mean we'd\11:29\wake up having spent so much money it's\11:31\ridiculous and we would uh yeah like the\11:35\most extreme 'got would be the\11:36\equivalent to taking 1.6 grams of MDMA\11:39\so about 16 really strong ecstasy pills\11:43\in the night was the most I ever took I\11:45\remember that being my record but at ten\11:47\eleven was an average keep in mind out\11:49\of Tolerance he's extremely dangerous\11:51\and I'm about to go over why it was so\11:53\dangerous and there's many reasons why\11:55\but yeah it got to where and we never\11:58\took all those at once we would start\12:00\off with two or three and then an hour\12:02\later take two or three hour later you\12:04\know we mixed it out throughout the\12:06\night and we even had this game we would\12:08\play me and my ex or we'd pop a half a\12:10\pill every 30 minutes and kind of see\12:12\who threw up first like we were really\12:14\sick with it and got really into it and\12:17\in my mind I thought you know the\12:19\government lies it's not as bad as I\12:20\make it out to be you know I can I can\12:23\quit when I want people said even online\12:25\that it's not addictive it's just\12:26\psychologically addictive and I believed\12:28\all that stuff you know I was young I\12:30\was stupid and whenever I took these\12:32\extreme doses throughout the night\12:34\really late at night say it took like\12:36\ten pills throughout the night so\12:37\towards the end of the night at like\12:38\4:00 in the morning or whatever I would\12:40\start other mad hallucinations and the\12:42\hallucinations are really weird I mean\12:44\they reminded me more of like something\12:46\like benadryl than they would\12:47\psychedelics they were like envisioning\12:50\myself in another environment they\12:52\weren't even like DXM at all\12:53\but it would be like I'm driving through\12:55\a drive-through out Wendy's and I see it\12:57\I'm in my car literally they're like\12:59\physically there I mean as real as me\13:02\like being here right now touching this\13:03\chair and I would be like ordering from\13:06\the drive-through and this is all\13:09\hallucination in my head now here's the\13:12\really weird thing even though this is\13:14\just in my head in a hallucination when\13:16\I'm ordering in this\13:17\space and in this hallucination I'm\13:18\actually verbalizing it in reality so\13:21\imagine my ex sitting with me and\13:24\randomly I'm kind of blinked out in\13:26\space and randomly I say I want a\13:28\five-piece chicken nugget and a\13:30\coca-cola and she would look at me like\13:32\what's wrong with you and then I would\13:33\kind of snap out of this head space or\13:35\the hallucination and see her and be\13:38\like oh crap\13:38\you know I messed up and the next time I\13:40\would go back in like you know five\13:42\minutes later and now instead would\13:44\maybe be with my aunt you know helping\13:46\her cook dinner and be talking to my\13:47\aunt but in real life I'm actually\13:49\talking and that's a very scary place to\13:51\be in because MDMA can be very lethal\13:54\for a lot of reasons and a lot of times\13:56\it's it's not the substance itself but\13:58\it's how we don't drink water or be over\14:01\hydrate and I always was really proud of\14:03\my ability to take in a certain amount\14:06\of water not too much not too little\14:07\like know the rules and whenever I was\14:10\in that headspace I was in a able to\14:12\even like remember to drink water so I\14:14\very easily could have died from\14:16\dehydration if there was one substance I\14:18\say should have really got rid of me or\14:20\killed me I would definitely say it was\14:22\India may I look back and I do not know\14:25\how I survived those nights and you know\14:28\during this time had taken 1016 pills I\14:30\should add I was also dealing it and\14:32\selling it out of my house and it's\14:34\because I believed in the substance I\14:36\thought it was therapeutic I thought it\14:37\was good for you that's what I thought\14:39\back then I said well I thought my\14:41\dealing was like a public service and\14:43\again I didn't go to raise people came\14:44\to my house but when they bought so many\14:46\pills I remember taking mental notes of\14:48\how much more pills I could take that\14:50\weekend so I didn't really make money I\14:53\just sold pills to use pills if that\14:55\makes sense\14:55\eventually MDMA stopped working and I\14:58\hear that a lot like the magic goes away\15:00\and I hear a lot also that you know\15:02\people use drugs to chase the first high\15:05\and my personal experience has not been\15:07\the case for me for example like with\15:10\meth like if I took a tolerance break I\15:13\could get almost just as high as the\15:14\first time I use meth I would just have\15:16\to use more but with MDMA it seemed to\15:18\genuinely stop working in other words I\15:20\could take a tolerance break and take a\15:22\really high dose and I could take like a\15:24\you know six month tolerance break which\15:26\I remember doing and then take a really\15:28\high dose and the magics just not there\15:31\it's not the same drug anymore it\15:33\becomes like very watered down I would\15:34\say it's like adderall but honestly it\15:36\really wasn't even as is euphoric is\15:38\that it just lacked the empathic genic\15:41\effect and the epatha genic effect for\15:43\me was like wanting to talk to people\15:45\wanting to share intimate details with\15:47\them wanting to learn about their life\15:49\and have that intimate connection with\15:51\people in the world and you know going\15:53\to clubs and meeting strangers and\15:55\loving them and loving just people in\15:57\general it really lost that effect for\16:00\me and it lost it pretty fast and I\16:02\think I was in denial a lot of the time\16:04\I was using it and so yeah in the come\16:09\downs The Hives would get shorter so\16:10\like the first time I took MDMA I had\16:12\like a three-day afterglow following so\16:14\I felt good for three days after I\16:16\didn't even get it come down and then it\16:19\got to a point where you know I before\16:21\I'd get high for the whole day and then\16:23\towards the end when the magic went away\16:25\I would only get high for like two hours\16:26\and then after the two hours I'd have\16:28\this sharp and brutal comedown that was\16:31\just edgy and gross and nasty and\16:33\reminded me I took a drug and it just\16:36\didn't feel good it wasn't as bad as my\16:38\adderall come downs or my meth come\16:39\downs but it was up there's is something\16:42\pretty bad so the drug in itself I felt\16:45\defeated I remember trying to fix that\16:47\and trying to get the magic back taking\16:49\breaks and everything but I realized it\16:50\was never coming back and I had a lot of\16:53\negative consequences happen around this\16:55\time I drove on MDMA and almost drove my\16:57\car off a bridge I'm very lucky I didn't\16:59\get arrested or hurt and you know I\17:02\decided that you know the substance is\17:04\way too expensive and it's not for me\17:06\and it was a very defeated feeling and\17:08\especially because I realized at that\17:11\point that it did cause changes in\17:13\though either the way I metabolized the\17:15\substance or my brain chemistry and I\17:17\leaned towards the brain and those\17:20\changes are never going to go away I\17:21\can't fix them I can't reverse them and\17:23\the changes are like this permanent\17:25\tolerance and I was afraid of what's\17:28\gonna happen later in life I started\17:29\doing research and not going to biased\17:31\websites but and not going to government\17:34\websites but really going for the middle\17:36\ground websites and I wish I could\17:38\remember which ones in particular and I\17:40\started to get afraid and realize I\17:42\abused it\17:43\and yeah that's that was a very dark\17:47\experience for me and then quitting MDMA\17:49\in general was really hard it was just\17:52\you know I was using other substances\17:54\but quitting MDMA is yeah I remember\17:59\like thinking about the pills and the\18:00\presses and the culture and the I wasn't\18:04\really around many people but I think\18:05\about the memories that me and my ex\18:06\made and stuff and like some of the\18:08\highlight memories I'm romanticizing it\18:10\and it just felt like I had so much\18:13\power over me back then it was\18:15\unbelievable and it was hard to just\18:17\quit it even though I was using other\18:18\stuff to escape it was just that one in\18:21\particular is really hard to accept that\18:22\and it's like I didn't really have a\18:24\choice I had to quit it because the\18:26\magic was gone so there really wasn't a\18:27\choice and I just felt defeated and like\18:29\I really harmed myself and did a lot of\18:31\damage to my organs and brains and brain\18:34\even with like you know MDMA the\18:37\adulterants I could have taken and all\18:39\the other stuff started to really hit me\18:41\and sink in now what I take MDMA again\18:43\the answers and you know absolutely not\18:46\I would not take it that first time I\18:48\get it back then I was young I was I was\18:51\like processing decisions differently\18:53\than I do now I'm an adult now and I was\18:56\processing it more with emotion and I\18:58\thought it was rebellious and it was\19:00\cool to take ecstasy I thought you know\19:02\be against the government fit in with my\19:05\friends tell them I take ecstasy you\19:07\know it's cool that was part of my\19:08\motive to even start it and then to\19:11\continue using it I was very focused on\19:13\the emotional reward and I thought\19:15\somehow it would be good for me later in\19:17\life and I'd be glad I did this as an\19:20\adult I'm not glad that I did that\19:21\especially at a young age and those\19:24\memories are so fleeting and all I\19:26\really had to show for them is I've\19:28\taken ecstasy before and I can make this\19:30\video for you guys that might prevent\19:32\someone from abusing the substance or\19:34\using it to begin with which you know I\19:36\I just don't see really much of a point\19:38\I remember being young and thinking\19:40\totally different than I do now and the\19:43\only thing I got of MDMA is I learned\19:45\how to do raving but I only raved on\19:47\MDMA I'll show you the example of me\19:49\raving now\19:51\get up with the purpose every\19:54\motherfucker fricassee the sweater\19:55\cutter bridge the president addition\19:57\plate up with the shitter fucker sale\20:01\yeah I never raved but that's about all\20:04\I got out of it cuz I only did that when\20:06\I was under the influence of ecstasy I'm\20:08\surprised I even still do it a little\20:10\bit but yeah that's my MDMA addiction\20:15\story and I hope to see you guys in the\20:18\comments discussing this and what your\20:20\thoughts are on MDMA follow me on\20:21\Instagram I answer the Molly addiction did cause a lot of problems for me and not much to write home about. I believe it's commonly downplayed but it makes ecstasy dangerous. The MDMA experience for me was very addictive and ecstasy addiction was hard to get out of even though I felt forced. Not everyone has this type of experience with MDMA, but maybe some will relate. Hope you learn from my addiction story."
Has ads: Yes
Amount of comments: 3,425 Comments
Data source: http://archive.today/2020.09.15-003301/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxM9uRKrIqo (short link - https://archive.vn/yXOqU)
Data source: https://youtu.be/HxM9uRKrIqo

See also:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecstasy_(drug)
