And if it wasn't made overly<br />06:46 clear by this Facebook post it seems as<br />06:48 though the reasoning behind Antoine<br />06:50 Dodson disavowing his status as a<br />06:52 homosexual man is that he became a black<br />06:55 Hebrew Israelite, and that lifestyle<br />06:57 wasn't compatible with this new faith.<br />06:59 Antoine joins us now, good to see you. Thank you for having me.<br />07:02 So tell me you say you are quote "no<br />07:05 longer into homosexuality". What made you<br />07:07 change your mind?<br />07:09 Um it- it's just that you know like,<br />07:15 I just been sitting at home. I've been having a lot of free time to myself, so I just been sitting reading the good book,<br />07:18 the Bible, and stuff like that. This caused a<br />07:20 bit of outrage within the LGBTQ<br />07:22 community and Dodson, with him losing<br />07:25 followers across his social media<br />07:27 accounts. But, at the end of the day it<br />07:29 didn't really matter.<br />07:30 Apparently Dodson had come to the<br />07:32 conclusion that he was no longer gay, and<br />07:35 he was a straight man, and there was<br />07:37 nothing anyone could do or say to change<br />07:40 his mind, and that's that. Fast forward to<br />07:42 2014.<br />07:43 Remember the Bed Intruder? Yeah well he's<br />07:46 still on the loose. Well, not really<br />07:49 because it turns out he wasn't trying to<br />07:51 sexually assault Antoine Dodson's sister<br />07:54 at all. According to an interview with a<br />07:56 man named Rashad Cooper, who claims to be<br />07:59 the Bed Intruder, Cooper was romantically<br />08:02 involved with Dodson's sister and the<br />08:04 two had got in an argument which ended<br />08:07 up with Cooper jumping out of the window<br />08:09 after Dodson's sisters started throwing<br />08:12 objects at him. Here's a quote from<br />08:14 Cooper "I was at the house chilling one<br />08:16 day, just me and Kelly. She tried to do<br />08:19 something I wasn't down for yet. All of a<br />08:21 sudden she got mad and bipolar and<br />08:23 started throwing stuff, trying to fight<br />08:25 me. So I won't lie, I did hop out that<br />08:27 window. Haha. A mad woman? You don't play<br />08:30 with them." And this Rashad Cooper<br />08:33 fellow who claims to be the infamous Bed<br />08:35 Intruder would go on to challenge<br />08:36 Antoine Dodson<br />08:37 to a boxing match. Quote: "I was on<br />08:40 Facebook one day and<br />08:41 saw a link about Antoine wanting to do<br />08:43 some fighting. I was like, 'are you serious?'<br />08:45 I was always told patience comes to<br />08:47 those who wait, so I contacted Damon the<br />08:50 promoter and told him I want to settle<br />08:52 something. I'm the alleged intruder. He<br />08:54 asked if I was serious, then contacted<br />08:56 Antoine and we set it up. I'm looking<br />08:58 forward to it because I'm still mad.<br />09:00 Everything he said was a lie; he<br />09:02 destroyed my life. All dirt comes out in<br />09:05 the wash. First off he's going to get<br />09:06 knocked out. He's gonna wind up crying<br />09:09 and confessing after the beatdown I give<br />09:11 him. Tell yo wife, tell yo husband,<br />09:13 tell yo kids, this is going to be the<br />09:15 best celebrity knockout you'll ever see<br />09:17 in your life." On October 30th it was<br />09:20 announced that a boxing match between<br />09:21 Cooper and Dodson would indeed go down<br />09:24 on November 4th, with the event being<br />09:26 televised on ETV via pay-per-view. And on<br />09:29 November 4th the fight commenced as<br />09:31 planed. This thing is a<br />10:48 hundred percent real, right? We'll just<br />10:50 have to take Rashad Cooper and Antoine<br />10:52 Dodson's word that this is indeed the<br />10:55 real Bed Intruder. It just looks so fake.<br />10:57 This wouldn't be the last time Antoine<br />10:59 Dodson stepped into the ring. He was<br />11:01 later part of a celebrity boxing match<br />11:03 against actor and TV producer Joe Rubbo.<br />11:06 And in this fight Antoine got TKO'd and<br />11:08 lost the event, which cost $100 to watch<br />11:12 might I add. And after those boxing<br />11:14 matches in 2014 there really hasn't been<br />11:16 much that's happened in Antoine Dodson's<br />11:19 life. He launched the Kickstarter several<br />11:21 years ago in the hopes of launching a<br />11:23 reality TV show about his life with the<br />11:25 goal of $38,000. But it was never reached.<br />11:29 In fact it only got seven hundred and<br />11:31 sixty six dollars. And according to a<br />11:33 2018 interview with BET Dodson claims he<br />11:36 now works as a substitute teacher in the<br />11:38 Huntsville school district. He<br />11:40 occasionally uploads vlogs to his<br />11:42 YouTube channel antoinedodson24 and<br />11:45 seems to be enjoying the calmer life of<br />11:48 a former Internet superstar<br />11:50 gone back to a somewhat normal person.<br />11:53 I think Antoine Dodson is a prime<br />11:55 example of how short the limelight of<br />11:57 being an e-celebrity really is. At first<br />12:00 it seems like you'll be able to<br />12:01 translate your source material hype into<br />12:04 a career, but it really never pans out<br />12:06 that way. And the years following Antoine<br />12:09 blowing up online it always seemed like<br />12:11 he was struggling to come up with some<br />12:12 kind of way to capitalize on the meme,<br />12:15 with his last attempt seeming somewhat<br />12:17 desperate with the boxing matches. But at<br />12:19 the end of the day man you can't really<br />12:21 blame him for trying to make a buck off<br />12:23 of his image. And before I go I want to<br />12:25 point something out. It sure<br />12:26 a shame that all of Antoine Dodson's<br />12:28 videos on his YouTube channel are filmed<br />12:30 vertically and have no editing<br />12:31 whatsoever rendering them mostly<br />12:33 unwatchable, so much squandered potential.<br />12:35 If only he had access to a vast bank of<br />12:38 tutorial videos that could show him how<br />12:39 to use editing software like Adobe<br />12:41 Premiere and Final Cut Pro to take his<br />12:43 channel to the next level.<br />12:45 What vast collection of tutorial videos<br />12:47 am I referring to?
